What This Site Is
Phantom Blade Zero Guide is an independent, fan-made guide and information archive for Phantom Blade Zero, the dark kungfupunk action game from S-GAME. The site exists to answer one question well: what do we actually know about this game, and what is still speculation?
You will find pre-launch guides on release dates, platforms, pre-orders, and demos; deep dives into the combat system and story; and a running record of every meaningful reveal and trailer. Everything is organized so that a player who has never heard of the series — or one who has followed it since the Rainblood days — can find a clear, sourced answer quickly.
This is deliberately an unofficial project. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by S-GAME. We think that independence is a feature: it lets us say plainly what is confirmed, what is rumor, and what we simply do not know yet — something official channels can never do.
Who Runs It
The site is built and maintained by the Phantom Blade Zero Guide Team — a small group of long-time fans of the Phantom Blade series and of action games in general. We are players first: people who fell for the series' 2D blade-dancing roots, followed every State of Play and gameplay reveal of the 3D entry, and wanted a single place where the community's collective knowledge was written down properly instead of scattered across forums, comment threads, and lost video uploads.
We are not journalists, and we do not pretend to be an official source. We are careful hobbyists with a wiki instinct: we read official posts so you do not have to dig for them, we write things down, and we date-stamp everything so you can judge freshness for yourself.
Why We Built It
Every game with a passionate community goes through the same pre-launch cycle: rumors spread faster than facts, old information lingers in search results after it has been superseded, and players make expensive decisions (which platform to buy on, whether to pre-order) based on outdated or invented claims.
We built this archive to be the antidote. Every article distinguishes confirmed facts from analysis from open questions. When something is unverified, we say so in the article itself rather than quietly blending it into the text. When official information supersedes something we published, we update the page and note the review date.
In short: this site exists because someone should be keeping the receipts — and because the community deserved a reference that treats its trust as the most valuable thing it has.
How Our Content Is Produced
Every article on this site goes through the same process before publication:
- Source collection. We start from official material only — S-GAME announcements, official trailers and showcases, store listings, and publisher statements. Community sources such as interviews and reputable coverage come second; anonymous forum posts come last, if at all.
- Fact separation. Within the draft, every claim is tagged internally as confirmed, reported, or unverified. Unverified claims either get cut or are explicitly labeled as rumors in the published page.
- Writing and review. A second set of eyes checks the draft against the sources before anything goes live. We would rather delay an article than publish a wrong release date.
- Scheduled review. Articles carry a review date. When new official information arrives, we revisit affected pages, update them, and adjust the date — which is why "REVIEWED" stamps appear throughout the site.
- Post-launch verification. Once the game is in players' hands, guides based on live gameplay (builds, boss strategies, collectible routes) are verified in-game before publication wherever possible, and corrected based on reader reports afterward.
Bilingual by design: the site is maintained in both English and Chinese, and major articles are published in both languages so the two fan communities share one source of truth.
How We Keep It Trustworthy
Three commitments guide everything we publish:
- Official sources first. If S-GAME has said something officially, we link to it. If they have not, we do not present speculation as fact.
- Clearly labeled uncertainty. "IN REVIEW" and "SOURCE COLLECTION" are real status labels on this site, not decorations. You can see at a glance how solid an article is.
- No clickbait. We do not invent release dates, fabricate leaks, or write headlines the article cannot back up. The game's community has enough noise already.
Mistakes still happen — that is inevitable for any publication covering a game that has not shipped yet. When readers point them out, we fix them and we are grateful. That loop between readers and editors is the closest thing a fan site has to a fact-checking department, and we take it seriously.
How the Site Is Funded
Running a growing archive is not free, so the site displays third-party advertising to cover hosting and operating costs. Ads are kept separate from editorial decisions: nobody can pay us to change a rating, bury a correction, or dress speculation up as confirmed news. If that ever stops being true, this page will be the first place we say so.
We do not sell merchandise, run paid memberships, or accept sponsored articles. Keeping the incentives boring keeps the content honest.
How to Reach the Team
Found an error, have a source we missed, or want to talk about the game? Email tyoutetu@126.com — it reaches the whole team. We read everything and respond to corrections first. For what to expect when writing to us, see the Contact page.
Thanks for reading, and welcome to the archive. The blades arrive soon — until then, the answers come first.
