1. About This Site
Phantom Blade Zero Guide (this "Site") is an unofficial, fan-made guide and information archive for the video game Phantom Blade Zero. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by S-GAME (Soulgame Technology Co., Ltd.) or any official publisher of the game. All game names, trademarks, and artwork mentioned on this Site belong to their respective rights holders.
Because this Site is run by fans, our approach to data is simple: we do not want your personal information, we do not ask for it, and we do not build profiles around it. This policy explains the limited data that is processed when you visit, why it is processed, and what control you have over it.
2. Information We Collect
We do not require accounts, registrations, or newsletter sign-ups. You can read every page of this Site without giving us your name, email address, or any other identifying detail. We do not operate comment systems that store personal profiles, and we do not run user surveys that request personal data.
The only data we collect is anonymous, aggregate analytics through Google Analytics 4 ("GA4"). This includes information such as:
- Which pages are visited and for how long
- The type of device and browser used (for example, mobile Safari vs. desktop Chrome)
- Approximate geographic region (country or city level, not your exact location)
- Referring site or search engine, and whether the visit is new or returning
GA4 is configured so that this data is not used to identify individual visitors. We do not collect precise location data, we do not use advertising identifiers to track you across other websites for our own purposes, and we do not attempt to de-anonymize analytics data.
3. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. This Site uses two categories:
First-party cookies are set directly by this Site for basic functionality — for example, remembering your language preference (English or Chinese) so the site renders in the language you chose. These cookies contain no personal identifiers and are not shared with anyone.
Third-party cookies may be set by our advertising partner, Google AdSense (including Google DoubleClick cookies), when personalized ads are displayed. These cookies allow Google and its partner sites to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and/or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in Google's own policies, and you can review how Google uses data at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies will not prevent you from reading any content on this Site — only site-preference features (such as remembering your language) may reset.
4. How We Use Information
We use aggregate analytics for exactly three things:
- Understanding which guides are useful, so we know what to update and expand.
- Keeping the Site healthy, for example by spotting broken pages or performance problems.
- Supporting the Site financially. We display advertising (currently through Google AdSense) so the Site can remain free. Aggregate data may be used by our ad partner to measure ad performance and, where you have consented or where permitted by law, to personalize the ads you see.
We do not use your data to build advertising profiles of our own, and we do not sell or rent any analytics or cookie data to anyone.
5. Third-Party Advertising and Your Opt-Out Choices
When you visit this Site, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other websites. You have several ways to opt out of personalized advertising:
- Google Ads Settings: https://adssettings.google.com — lets you turn off ad personalization for your Google account.
- AboutAds.info: https://www.aboutads.info/choices/ — industry opt-out for participating third-party vendors.
- Network Advertising Initiative: https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ — another cross-industry opt-out tool.
- Your browser: most modern browsers offer "Do Not Track," cookie blocking, and private browsing modes that limit third-party cookies.
Opting out of personalized ads does not mean you will stop seeing ads — it means the ads you see will be less relevant to your interests. This Site remains fully usable with ad personalization turned off.
6. GDPR Rights (European Economic Area and UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have specific rights under the General Data Protection Regulation. Because this Site processes only anonymous, aggregate analytics, the personal data we hold about any individual visitor is — by design — effectively none. Still, we state our basis and your rights plainly:
Legal bases. We rely on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) for anonymous aggregate analytics that keep the Site functional and informative, and on consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) where cookies are used for personalized advertising. Where consent is required by law, it is requested before personalized ads are served, and you may withdraw it at any time via the opt-out links in Section 5.
Your rights include: the right to access data relating to you, the right to rectification, the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"), the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Because we do not maintain visitor databases, there is generally no personal record for us to retrieve or delete. If you believe any of your personal data has reached us anyway (for example, if you emailed us), write to tyoutetu@126.com and we will respond within 30 days.
7. CCPA Rights (California Residents)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising those rights.
We do not sell personal information. We do not receive payment for handing over visitor data, and we do not share analytics data with data brokers. The only sharing that occurs is the standard, passive exchange described in Section 3, where Google's ad cookies function on your own browser — a practice that, under California law, you may curb using the opt-out tools listed in Section 5 (in particular, Google Ads Settings and AboutAds.info).
California residents may contact us at tyoutetu@126.com with any request relating to their personal information. We will verify and respond as required by law, within the statutory response window.
8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
This Site is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Phantom Blade Zero is a dark, martial-arts action game intended for adult and mature audiences, and the content of this Site — guides, combat analysis, and story discussion — is written with that audience in mind.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information (for example, by emailing us), contact tyoutetu@126.com and we will delete the information promptly.
9. Data Retention and Security
Aggregate analytics data is retained only for as long as it remains useful for the purposes in Section 4, and only in anonymized form. We do not operate user databases, so there are no passwords, addresses, or payment details on this Site to leak. Standard technical measures (HTTPS encryption for all traffic) protect the connection between you and this Site.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but given that we deliberately minimize the data we touch, the practical risk to visitors is minimal by design.
10. International Data Transfers
Analytics and advertising services described in this policy (Google Analytics 4, Google AdSense) are operated by companies based primarily in the United States. When you visit this Site, limited technical data may therefore be processed outside your home country, under the service providers' own compliance frameworks (such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where applicable). We do not transfer any additional data about you anywhere, because we do not hold any.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our advertising setup or applicable law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page before they take effect. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
12. Contact Us
