On August 27, XR glasses maker VITURE and S-GAME, the studio behind Phantom Blade Zero, jointly announced Phantom Beast, the official Phantom Blade Zero XR glasses. Pre-orders opened the same day on VITURE's online store, with the IGN Store also carrying the product, at a price of $599. Shipping is scheduled for October 29, 2026 — the same date Phantom Blade Zero itself launches on PS5 and PC. The official product page also confirms a limited hand-drawn game map for pre-order customers.
This is the first piece of official hardware to carry the game's world outside the screen. The temples, the carrying case, the neck lanyard, and the on-screen menu have all been reworked around the game's aesthetic, and the software side changes along with the hardware. The sections below cover the product's identity, its design, the box contents, the display specifications, and which devices it works with.
What the Phantom Beast actually is
Underneath the theming, the Phantom Beast is VITURE's Beast — the flagship XR glasses the company introduced in April 2026 — with the same optical engine and display panels, wrapped in Phantom Blade Zero artwork, accessories, and software. According to materials shared with PlayStation Lifestyle, this is VITURE's first collaboration with a Chinese game studio; its previous major tie-in was the Luma Cyber XR glasses based on Cyberpunk 2077, released the previous year as VITURE's first major gaming collaboration. The announcement went out over PR Newswire and was picked up by outlets including GameSpot, Digital Trends, and Android Central. The standard Beast starts at $549 on VITURE's official page, putting the $599 Phantom Beast $50 above the base model; the difference corresponds to the theming and collectibles rather than the display hardware.
Both sides made formal statements for the announcement. David Jiang, founder of VITURE, said the project was personal: wuxia was part of how he grew up, and Phantom Blade Zero honors that world in a way he had been waiting to see. Building the Phantom Beast, in his words, meant doing more than putting a logo on a product — it was a way for people who have never set foot in the Wulin to feel like they belong there. Soulframe, S-Game's founder and game director, framed the collaboration around aesthetics and medium: the game's distinctive kungfupunk look steps into the real world, and XR, in his view, has the potential to become an exciting new stage for AAA gaming.

The buying information comes down to three points. The price is $599. The channels are VITURE's own store at viture.com/phantombeast and the IGN Store, where the product page lists a Jet Black colorway and sells the glasses in size tiers. The date is October 29, 2026, when orders ship alongside the game — which means a pre-order placed now should see the glasses and the game arrive in the same launch window. Neither company has announced availability or pricing outside these channels so far.
Kungfupunk design: temples, lanyard, interface, and case
The official keyword for the design language is kungfupunk — the game's blend of classical Chinese wuxia and punk fantasy. The rework touches four places on the product.
The metal detailing on the temples is shaped after Soul's blade at the instant it clears its scabbard. A detachable neck lanyard uses traditional wuxia patterns, finished with ornamental pads inspired by martial-arts gear. The on-screen interface has been fully reskinned around Phantom Blade Zero's own menu design, and the official product page leans into the weapon imagery with its tagline, "Forged in shadow. Sharpened for play." Official materials also note exclusive engravings and iconography drawn from the game's blade-centric visual language on the frame itself.
The largest single rework is the carrying case: a triangular metal case wrapped in textured black leather, with a sliding-drawer opening designed to feel like drawing a blade from its sheath; the interior is crimson. Official photos show the glasses, lanyard, and cable arranged in the same black-and-red palette, with the VITURE x PHANTOM BLADE wordmark visible on the case. The software component matters for a collaboration of this kind: a reskinned menu travels with the product everywhere it is used, rather than being limited to the physical items in the box. The official product page itself is organized around the same weapon imagery, from "A Weapon, Worn." to the section titled "A 174-inch battlefield."
What's in the box and the pre-order map
The official product page lists three themed accessories inside the package alongside the glasses: a metal replica of the "Mó Sanguine" blade, a special-edition glasses strap, and an exclusive glasses cloth. The packaging leans into the theme too — both the announcement and press coverage describe an oversized collector's box finished in black-and-white Phantom Blade Zero artwork. A collector's card, brick, and sticker set is also teased on the page, with details marked as "to be revealed soon." AndroidGuys' coverage of the announcement describes that set as game-art cards and a sticker sheet, and puts the blade replica at roughly 12.5 centimeters.

Pre-orders add one more item: a limited collector's edition game map, described by VITURE as a hand-drawn map of the game's world "made for those who explore every shadow," presented in scroll format with dual rollers and limited to pre-order customers. The campaign currently has three dates worth tracking. August 27 is when the product was announced and pre-orders opened. October 29 is when orders ship alongside the game. And under the rules VITURE published for the campaign, orders placed or purchased by November 5, 2026 fall within the map giveaway window; the companies have not described any path to obtain the map after that date.
Taken together, a buyer's package spans the glasses and the themed case, three confirmed accessories, one teased set with details still to be revealed by VITURE, and — for orders inside the pre-order window — the scroll-format game map.
The 174-inch virtual screen: specs and display modes
The display system is identical to the standard Beast: Sony Micro-OLED panels (the latest 0.68-inch model) behind VITURE's custom prism-based optics. VITURE positions this platform as offering the largest and most capable virtual screen in consumer XR glasses. The core figures come from the official specification sheet. Two rows deserve a line of unpacking: the 9-level electrochromic tint adjusts how much of the outside environment stays visible, with an auto-transparency mode for moments when situational awareness matters, while VisionPair 3DoF tracking anchors the virtual screen in space so the image holds steady during head movement, and HARMAN AudioEFX handles spatial audio through the glasses' built-in speakers:
| Spec | Phantom Beast XR Glasses |
|---|---|
| Virtual screen size | 174 inches at a 4-meter viewing distance |
| Resolution | 1200p per eye |
| Refresh rate | 120Hz |
| Peak brightness | 1,250 nits |
| Field of view | 58° |
| Contrast | ≥100,000:1 |
| Color range | 108% sRGB |
| Dimming | 9-level electrochromic tint + auto-transparency mode |
| Spatial tracking | Built-in 3DoF (VisionPair) |
| Audio | HARMAN AudioEFX spatial audio |
| Materials | Mg-Al alloy frame and hinge; PC + TPE temples |
There are five display modes in total, and the official product page spells out four of them. Anchor Mode holds the virtual screen at a native 16:10 ratio, which is where the 120Hz refresh rate applies. Ultra-Wide Mode stretches the picture into a panoramic canvas. Immersive 3D Mode adds depth through real-time 2D-to-3D conversion, marked as an optional feature. Side Mode shrinks the game into a corner of the view while raising the lens transparency. The fifth mode is a 32:9 panoramic layout aimed at PC games that support super-ultrawide resolutions.
Mapping those modes onto play sessions: Anchor Mode corresponds to combat-heavy segments where refresh rate matters most. PC games with super-ultrawide support are covered by Ultra-Wide or the 32:9 layout. Side Mode keeps the game running in a reduced corner of the field of view with the lenses set more transparent, which fits sessions that also involve a walkthrough or a stream on a real-world screen. Immersive 3D adds depth for cinematic stretches. The companion software is the SpaceWalker and Immersive 3D app on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, which adds a multi-screen layout of up to three windows, real-time 2D-to-3D conversion, and advanced display settings; the built-in speakers are adjustable across nine levels, per the official spec sheet.
Device compatibility: direct USB-C versus the dock route
One principle frames the whole compatibility picture: XR glasses are a display, not a computer. The glasses only draw what a connected device sends them over a single USB-C cable, and the game itself runs on the phone, PC, or console at the other end. Which devices can be that source determines whether an adapter is needed.
Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and the Steam Deck are in the direct-connection group: one cable, plug and play, no extra hardware. The consoles are in the docked group:
| Device | How it connects |
|---|---|
| Windows / macOS PC | Direct USB-C |
| Android / iPhone 15 or later | Direct USB-C |
| Steam Deck | Direct USB-C |
| Switch / Switch 2 | Pro Mobile Dock or Mobile Dock Mini |
| PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, HDMI sources | Pro Mobile Dock |
The HDMI entry in that last row is broader than consoles: any HDMI device beyond the listed machines routes through the Pro Mobile Dock, per the official compatibility notes. VITURE's Pro Neckband also appears in the plug-and-play list on the spec sheet, alongside the phone and PC platforms.
The Pro Mobile Dock covers the full console list, while the Mobile Dock Mini is officially positioned for the Switch and Switch 2 — and its official page also lists the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, iPhone 15+, and Android devices among its supported equipment. Neither dock appears in the Phantom Beast box contents as published; both are sold as standalone accessories on VITURE's store, where current pricing is listed.
Sizing is tiered: the 58–70mm IPD (pupillary distance) range in the spec sheet corresponds to the Regular size tier, which the IGN Store's Phantom Beast page labels as IPD 64.0±6.0mm, and the tier is chosen through the size selector on the store page. Pupillary distance can be read off an optician's prescription or measured at home with a mirror and a ruler. The official page does not state whether the glasses fit over prescription frames.
